10 Free Phonic Books Website With Download

,

In this blog, we have listed 10 websites you can visit to download free phonics children’s books.

We may want to start with a simple definition of phonics. Phonics is teaching reading by matching corresponding sounds (phonics sound) to their letters and using that knowledge to then go on to read full words. You might have heard of l blends or r blends, those are all part of phonics.

Another word you might come across a lot is segment or segmenting. This means breaking up a word into its individual sounds or phonemes so that children or anyone who is learning to read can break up the word before putting all of the sounds together.

The words phoneme and grapheme are often used together. A phoneme is the smallest unit of sound and a grapheme refers to the way we write that sound or the letter(s) that we associate with that sound.

Phonic books can help in teaching someone phonics and also support individuals with dyslexia. We have put together a list of 10 websites you can visit to download free phonic books.
